T Ju Zab’s work explores the connection between memories and subconsciousness in our lives. She finds inspiration in ideas such as Hypnagogic state, subconsciousness, and childhood memories.
Working with media like digital photography and video, she applies double exposure techniques and processes to analog film, allowing her to express something that evokes memory and experience.
Zab explores how past experiences either from our childhood or adolescence can have such an input on shaping our character as adults. The concepts of different realities and how we are currently living within virtual states of reality is the subject in Zab’s latest video work.
